Amazing service, friendly staff and lovely little bar! Location is great for pre-drinks before gigs in the city and the cocktails are delicious! Will be back again

Lock 91 is an incredible venue, beautifully decorated, tons of history. A real gem of deansgate. The staff are second to none, incredibly well trained and personable. Its a great choice for any upcoming events you may have.
I hired the terrace and lounge for my 40th and I can’t tell how superb it all was. The drinks, the staff the room was just perfect. I can’t recommend this place anymore
What a gem of a place! Oldy worldy when you're in there, Victorian lighting and an old fashioned fireplace in one of their rooms too. It is a little expensive, but to me it is a classy little venue anyhow. There are stairs in there, but didn't see a lift and in one room, there were double doors that led to a small balcony area, that gave you views over the canal to the rear there also. The 2 waitresses behind the bar, was telling me about their current events there and one of them includes a weekly salsa class upstairs there too., interesting! I'd love to go again there, when it's not busy again too, which makes this place unique as well. They don't sell food., it is a drinks and snacks only place, nothing passed a packet of crisps or packet of peanuts then.
Really nice door staff and bar tender. Good choice of drinks. Don't do food. Couldn't full explore upstairs as there was a wedding on.

Lock 91 is such a great spot—one of those places that feels relaxed and welcoming from the moment you walk in. The setting right by the canal gives it a really nice vibe, especially in the evening. Inside, it’s cosy but still lively, with a good mix of people and a laid-back atmosphere that makes it easy to enjoy a proper catch-up with friends. The drinks selection is solid, and everything is served quickly even when it’s busy. What stood out most was how friendly and attentive the staff were—they really add to the overall experience. It’s the kind of place you can return to again and again, whether for a quiet drink or a bigger night out. Definitely a Manchester favourite.
We hired the lounge bar and terrace for my daughter’s 18th and it was absolutely perfect. A great space for a decent sized party. The staff were absolutely lovely and helped make everything run very smoothly. We ordered pizza in so can’t comment on the food!
Love this place. Always make a point of calling in before a gig across the road at rebellion! I love sitting by the fire with a beer.
One of the best bloody Mary’s we’ve ever had, and we’ve had A LOT of bloody Mary’s! The flavour OMG. Absolutely gorgeous.
Went there to attend the Spanish/English language interchange group. Great little pub with loads of atmosphere. Fabulous London Black dark ale. Absolutely delicious and well priced. Lovely evening practicing Spanish. See you there next time!

We provided our own food so cannot provide rating. A great night at this venue for our 5th Anniversary Awards Party. Every aspect was seamless from booking to the end of the night. If you are looking for a venue for 30-60 people in central Manchester, this is a no brainer.
2-4-1 cocktails between 5pm & 9pm Mon to Thur. So £6! Excellent they were. The bartender knew his stuff. Its decked out in it's seasonal garb rn, the Xmas trees look beautiful. It was popular for sure! Clean toilets, stocked with essentials for woman.
Had my 21st birthday party here last weekend and wow. The venue was ansolutely gorgeous. From me first reaching out to the night itself, nothing was too much trouble. The dj was insane and the bar staff were amazing - sophie and trinity were so helpful and friendly. Would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a venue!!

We hosted a training day here for a major drinks brand and couldn't have asked for a better venue. It was the perfect venue, with several rooms it enabled us to have different breakout rooms throughout the venue. I can imagine this would also be the perfect venue for a party as well! The top floor was perfect for presenting to over 30 people. The venue has so much character and really is a hidden gem in Manchester. The staff were so accommodating and helpful with whatever we needed. Thanks so much to the team for a great day!
We recently held our wedding celebration at Lock 91 and couldn't have been happier with our choice. From the very beginning, the staff was incredibly accommodating and helpful, making the planning process stress-free. They even gave us a DJ recommendation, who ended up being a perfect fit and provided an amazing service that kept everyone dancing. The venue itself was a fantastic setting for our celebration. The unique atmosphere and great service made for an unforgettable night, and all of our guests had a wonderful time. We would recommend Lock 91 to anyone looking for a special place to host a party or celebration. Thank you to the entire team for making our event so memorable!

I've been to Lock 91 before, and it's always a great place with a really laid back atmosphere. After this weekend, I can see how they preserve that! We hosted a 40th in the downstairs bar, and it was perfect. Couldn't praise the staff more highly, the rooms and outdoor terrace were brilliant and just what we needed, and the infinite patience of the team even as we hammered the kareoke at gone midnight has to be commended. I'd highly recommend Lock 91 to anyone sensible looking for a drink, or anyone unsensible wanting a venue for a good old party.
Me and my partner chose the top room of lock91 as our evening venue for our weeding and we absolutely loved it! It was the perfect venue for us and our 70 guests to have a lovely evening and celebrate our marriage. We worked with Jacob to get everything organised, having 4 really useful meetings to go through everything we wanted on the day. Jacob also recommended Rebecca to decorate the room and Gavin O'Callaghan to DJ the night and both did such good jobs too! Gavin had the dance floor full until the end of the night and kept the energy levels high the whole time. Even the coordination with the caterers was excellent and everything went to plan the whole evening. We couldn’t have been more happy and all our guests loved it, so a big thank you to everyone at lock91 for making our day so special.
